This colorful platform game from SEGA was released in 1992 and brings together two of Disney's most famous characters in a magical adventure. While preparing for a magic show, Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck discover a mysterious magical box. When they open it, they are transported into a fantasy world controlled by the evil magician Pete. To return home, they must travel through a variety of dangerous and enchanted environments.
In World of Illusion, you can play as Mickey Mouse or Donald Duck, or enjoy the adventure cooperatively with a second player. Explore colorful levels filled with moving platforms, hidden passages and unusual enemies. Use magical attacks to transform opponents into harmless objects and discover ways to overcome different obstacles. The routes and challenges vary depending on your chosen character and whether you play alone or together. In cooperative mode, Mickey and Donald frequently need to work together to reach new areas.
The game stands out with its beautiful 16-bit graphics, smooth animations and recognizable Disney atmosphere. Fairy-tale environments, atmospheric music and creative platforming challenges create an entertaining adventure for both new and experienced players. Thanks to its different gameplay options and emphasis on cooperation, World of Illusion offers plenty of variety.
