Set out on an adventure through Sarasaland in Super Mario Land for the Nintendo Game Boy. The mysterious alien Tatanga has taken control of the kingdom and kidnapped Princess Daisy. Mario travels through four different kingdoms to rescue her and defeat Tatanga.
Run and jump through platforming stages filled with enemies, blocks, coins and hidden secrets, while also discovering gameplay that differs from the traditional Mario formula. Certain stages place Mario inside the Marine Pop submarine or Sky Pop airplane, replacing the usual platforming with shooting action.
Super Mario Land was released in 1989 as one of the early titles for the Game Boy and marked Mario’s first platforming adventure on Nintendo’s handheld. The game also introduced Sarasaland and Princess Daisy to the Mario universe. This NFAH Nintendo Classics edition presents the distinctive Game Boy adventure as a later European re-release and is an interesting addition for collectors of classic Mario and Game Boy games.
