Get behind the wheel in Super Mario Kart for the Super Nintendo, the game that started Nintendo’s famous kart racing series. Choose from eight characters from the Mario universe, including Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Yoshi, Bowser and Donkey Kong Jr., and compete across circuits filled with tight corners, obstacles and surprises.
Race through courses inspired by familiar Mario environments and use items such as green and red shells, banana peels and mushrooms to gain an advantage. Each character has different characteristics in areas such as speed, acceleration and handling. Alongside Grand Prix races, you can compete against the clock in Time Trial or race directly against another player.
Battle Mode adds further variety by placing two players in special arenas where items are used to burst each other’s balloons. The Super Nintendo’s Mode 7 technology gives the circuits a distinctive sense of speed and depth. This is the FAH edition from the Nintendo Classics series, a recognizable re-release of Super Mario Kart for Mario fans, classic racing enthusiasts and Super Nintendo collectors.
