Super Game Boy - FAH - Nintendo Game Boy
Play classic Game Boy games on the big screen with the Super Game Boy for the Super Nintendo. Released by Nintendo in 1994, this official accessory allows original Game Boy cartridges to be played directly through a Super Nintendo on a television.
The Super Game Boy adds colour to the originally monochrome Game Boy graphics and offers a selection of colour palettes and screen borders. Games specifically enhanced for Super Game Boy can also feature their own palettes, custom borders and additional visual effects.
The accessory is inserted into the Super Nintendo like a regular cartridge, with the Game Boy cartridge placed into the Super Game Boy itself. This makes it a distinctive link between Nintendo’s handheld and home-console hardware of the 1990s.
