Starwing - UKV - Cartridge - Super Nintendo
Enter the cockpit of the Arwing in Starwing for the Super Nintendo, known as Star Fox in other regions. Fox McCloud and his teammates Falco Lombardi, Peppy Hare and Slippy Toad are sent to protect the Lylat system from the evil Andross and his enormous army.
Gameplay combines 3D flight action, shooting and evasive manoeuvres as you travel through different areas and enemy formations. Use lasers and bombs to destroy enemies and obstacles while avoiding incoming fire and dangerous hazards. Multiple routes through the Lylat system offer different stages and difficulty levels, giving players several ways to progress through the adventure.
Starwing was technically notable for its use of the Super FX chip, which allowed the Super Nintendo to display polygonal 3D graphics that looked very different from many other games on the system. Its combination of fast action, memorable characters and early 3D technology marked the beginning of the Star Fox series. This UKV cartridge is a distinctive European edition of an important piece of Super Nintendo history.
