Take control of an Arwing in Starwing for the Super Nintendo, known as Star Fox in other regions. Join Fox McCloud and his teammates Falco Lombardi, Peppy Hare and Slippy Toad on their mission to protect the Lylat system from the evil Andross. Starting from Corneria, the team embarks on a dangerous journey across different planets and through space towards the enemy’s stronghold.
Pilot your Arwing through three-dimensional environments filled with enemy spacecraft, obstacles, laser battles and massive bosses. Shoot enemies out of the sky, avoid incoming fire and collect upgrades while following different routes through the Lylat system. Your teammates accompany you during missions and may regularly need your assistance.
Starwing was technically impressive for its use of the Super FX chip, which enabled polygonal 3D graphics on the Super Nintendo. Its combination of fast-paced space combat, multiple routes and recognizable characters marked the beginning of Nintendo’s Star Fox series. This FAH edition is an interesting addition for fans of Nintendo history, classic space shooters and Super Nintendo collectors.
