Sonic Mania Plus [Artbook Edition] - PlayStation 4

Return to the classic world of Sonic the Hedgehog in Sonic Mania Plus for the PlayStation 4. This colourful 2D platform game combines the familiar speed, pixel graphics and challenging levels of the original Sonic titles with fresh ideas and modern improvements. Race through imaginative environments, collect golden rings and battle Dr. Eggman and his dangerous robots.

Gameplay combines high-speed platforming, precise jumps, hidden routes and challenging boss battles. Play as Sonic, Tails or Knuckles and discover how each character uses unique abilities to overcome obstacles. Sonic relies on his trademark speed and Spin Dash, Tails can fly, and Knuckles can climb walls and glide through the air. The levels feature both reimagined versions of familiar Sonic locations and completely new areas filled with surprising mechanics and secret passages.

Sonic Mania Plus expands the original game with Mighty the Armadillo and Ray the Flying Squirrel as additional playable characters. This version also introduces Encore Mode, allowing you to experience the levels differently through modified challenges and a rotating team of characters. An expanded Competition Mode also allows up to four players to race against each other locally.

This Artbook Edition is a special physical release of Sonic Mania Plus. It was originally released with a 32-page artbook featuring illustrations from the game and a special reversible cover inspired by classic SEGA Mega Drive packaging. The presence and condition of these extras depend on the individual copy offered.

With its nostalgic presentation, refined gameplay and expanded content, Sonic Mania Plus is an appealing release for fans of classic Sonic games and collectors of physical PlayStation 4 titles.
