Pokémon Sword - Nintendo Switch
Set out on a new Pokémon adventure in Pokémon Sword for Nintendo Switch. Developed by Game Freak and released in 2019, this role-playing game takes you to the Galar region, an expansive area inspired by the United Kingdom. Explore green hills, mysterious forests, lively towns and impressive stadiums where Pokémon battles take center stage. Begin your journey by choosing one of three starter Pokémon: Grookey, Scorbunny or Sobble. Along the way, discover new Pokémon, meet different Trainers and work towards becoming the Pokémon Champion.
In Pokémon Sword, catch, train and collect Pokémon to build a powerful team. Challenge Gym Leaders, collect badges and eventually attempt to win the Champion Cup. During battles, use Dynamax to temporarily transform Pokémon into enormous versions capable of performing powerful attacks. Explore the Wild Area, a large natural environment where different Pokémon roam freely and where you can participate in Max Raid Battles. The story also introduces the Legendary Pokémon Zacian. Supported connectivity features allow you to trade Pokémon and battle against other players.
Pokémon Sword combines classic Pokémon battles with new gameplay features and an extensive world to explore. With different Pokémon to discover, challenging stadium battles and varied environments, the game offers an exciting adventure. An enjoyable addition to a Nintendo Switch collection for both new and experienced Pokémon fans.
