Metal Gear - EEC - Hangtab - Nintendo NES
Take on a covert mission in Metal Gear for the Nintendo NES, an early stealth-action title from Konami where infiltration is more important than direct combat. You play as Solid Snake, a special operative sent to infiltrate the secret military base Outer Heaven and stop the threat of Metal Gear.
Unlike many action games of its era, Metal Gear focuses on avoiding enemy patrols, moving carefully through hostile areas and making smart use of weapons, key cards and equipment. These mechanics helped establish important foundations for the stealth genre and for the later Metal Gear series.
The European EEC release carries product code NES-ME-EEC and was issued for the PAL-B market. This example features the early Hangtab packaging, characteristic of early European NES releases.
