Max Payne [Platinum] - PlayStation 2
Enter a dark crime story in Max Payne for the PlayStation 2. After his wife and daughter are murdered, detective Max Payne becomes involved in an investigation surrounding the dangerous drug Valkyr. When he is later framed for the murder of a fellow officer, Max must survive both the police and the criminal underworld as he searches for the truth.
Gameplay combines intense gunfights, Bullet Time and cinematic action. The signature Bullet Time mechanic slows down the action, giving you greater control during hectic confrontations and allowing Max to perform dramatic shooting dives. Pistols, shotguns, automatic weapons and other equipment provide different options for dealing with enemies.
The story takes place during a severe snowstorm in New York and is presented with a strong noir atmosphere and graphic-novel-style sequences. As Max moves deeper into the conspiracy, he discovers more about Valkyr and the people behind the events that destroyed his life. This is the Platinum edition, a re-release of Max Payne as part of Sony’s distinctive Platinum range for the PlayStation 2.
