God of War ll - PlayStation 2
Return to the world of Greek mythology in God of War II for the PlayStation 2. Kratos has taken Ares’ place as the new God of War, but once again finds himself opposing the gods of Olympus when Zeus strips him of his powers. Determined to take revenge, Kratos begins a dangerous journey in which he attempts to change fate itself.
Gameplay combines brutal combat, powerful combos, platforming and elaborate puzzles. Kratos wields the Blades of Athena and gains new weapons, magic and abilities throughout his adventure, allowing him to battle increasingly dangerous groups of enemies. The Icarus Wings also play an important role, giving Kratos new ways to cross large gaps and navigate platforming sections.
Throughout his journey, Kratos encounters numerous figures and creatures from Greek mythology and faces enormous bosses. Temples, ruins and gigantic structures create an epic and cinematic presentation. God of War II expands upon the original with deeper combat, new abilities and an even larger adventure.
