God Of War - PlayStation 4
Begin a new chapter in Kratos’ life with God of War for the PlayStation 4. Far removed from his past in ancient Greece, Kratos now lives in the world of Norse gods and mythology. Following the death of his wife, he begins a personal journey with his young son Atreus to fulfil her final wish, with father and son facing increasingly dangerous threats along the way.
Gameplay combines powerful combat, exploration, puzzles and RPG elements. Kratos uses the Leviathan Axe, which can be thrown and recalled, alongside his shield and a variety of abilities to defeat enemies. Atreus assists in combat with his bow and gradually develops into an increasingly important companion throughout the adventure.
During their journey, Kratos and Atreus explore different regions filled with hidden paths, treasures, secrets and challenging enemies inspired by Norse mythology. Weapons, armour and abilities can be upgraded to further adapt Kratos to your preferred playstyle. The relationship between father and son forms the emotional heart of the story, giving God of War a more personal character alongside the large-scale action for which the series is known.
