Race into another high-speed adventure in Sonic the Hedgehog 2 for the SEGA Mega Drive. Dr. Robotnik has returned and plans to use the power of the Chaos Emeralds for his schemes. This time, Sonic is joined by his new friend Miles “Tails” Prower as they set out to stop him.
Run, jump and speed through colorful zones filled with enemies, rings, loops, hidden routes and high-speed sections. Sonic returns with his famous speed and introduces the Spin Dash, allowing him to launch forward rapidly from a standing position. Tails can accompany Sonic throughout the adventure, while the game also offers competitive two-player action.
Sonic the Hedgehog 2 expands on the fast platforming of the original with larger stages, new abilities and the introduction of Tails. Featuring memorable areas such as Chemical Plant Zone and the continuing search for the Chaos Emeralds, it became one of the most recognizable Sonic titles on the Mega Drive. This PAL edition is a great addition for Sonic fans, retro gamers and SEGA Mega Drive collectors.
