Final Fantasy VI - PlayStation 1
Enter a world where magic and technology collide in Final Fantasy VI for the PlayStation 1. The story begins with Terra Branford, a young woman with mysterious magical powers who is being used as a weapon by the Gestahlian Empire. After escaping their control, she becomes involved with a resistance movement attempting to stop the empire and its dangerous ambitions.
Gameplay combines world exploration, strategic RPG battles, magic and extensive character development. A large cast of playable characters joins the adventure, including Locke, Celes, Edgar and Sabin, each with their own abilities and personal background. The Active Time Battle system forms the basis of combat, while Espers can be used to learn new magic and further develop your characters.
Final Fantasy VI is known for its extensive cast, ambitious story and world combining traditional fantasy with steampunk-inspired technology. The PlayStation version brings the original adventure to a new platform and adds presentation elements including pre-rendered video sequences. This makes it an interesting release for Final Fantasy fans, classic JRPG enthusiasts and PlayStation 1 collectors.
