Expand the capabilities of your Nintendo 64 with the official Expansion Pak. This upgrade is inserted into the dedicated slot on top of the console and replaces the standard Jumper Pak. It increases the Nintendo 64’s available RAM from 4 MB to a total of 8 MB.
The additional memory is used by various games for higher resolutions, improved graphics, larger game environments or additional gameplay features. Some titles use the Expansion Pak optionally for visual enhancements, while other games require the upgrade to access the full game or to run at all.
The Expansion Pak is particularly important for well-known Nintendo 64 titles including Donkey Kong 64, The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask and Perfect Dark. This makes it a useful upgrade for players looking to get more from their Nintendo 64 library as well as a recognizable piece of original hardware. This is the PAL edition of the Nintendo 64 Expansion Pak.
