Donkey Kong Country Returns (Nintendo Selects) - Nintendo Wii

Return to the jungle with Donkey Kong Country Returns for Nintendo Wii. Developed by Retro Studios and originally released in 2010, this colorful platform game brings back the classic Donkey Kong Country formula with challenging levels, familiar characters and updated graphics. When the mysterious Tiki Tak Tribe hypnotizes the animals of Donkey Kong Island and steals the banana supply, Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong set out to save their island and recover the stolen bananas.

In Donkey Kong Country Returns, travel through different environments, including tropical jungles, beaches, caves, factories and volcanic landscapes. Jump across gaps, avoid dangerous obstacles and defeat enemies using Donkey Kong's familiar rolling and ground-pounding attacks. Diddy Kong helps with his jetpack, making it easier to cross larger distances and complete difficult jumps. Throughout the adventure, collect bananas, puzzle pieces and the familiar KONG letters hidden across the levels. Classic gameplay elements also return, including exciting minecart rides and stages where you can ride Rambi the rhinoceros. The game supports local cooperative play for two players, with the second player controlling Diddy Kong.

Donkey Kong Country Returns combines classic platforming action with creative levels, challenging bosses and lively presentation. Hidden collectibles and different challenges provide plenty of reasons to revisit levels and discover more secrets. An excellent addition to a Nintendo Wii collection for fans of Nintendo and classic platform games.
