Return to the battlefields of World War II in Brothers in Arms: Earned in Blood for the PlayStation 2. This follow-up to Road to Hill 30 follows Sergeant Joe “Red” Hartsock and his experiences during the fighting in Normandy after the Allied invasion of 1944. The story is presented from his perspective and explores different events involving his unit.
Gameplay combines first-person shooting with tactical squad commands. Instead of relying purely on firepower, you command your soldiers to suppress enemies, move into strategic positions and carry out flanking attacks. The terrain and positioning of your squad therefore play an important role in every firefight.
The campaign takes you through different combat locations across Normandy and places a strong emphasis on cooperation within your squad. Enemy forces react to your position, encouraging you to regularly adapt your approach. Brothers in Arms: Earned in Blood offers a more tactical take on World War II combat than many traditional shooters, combining historical military action with squad leadership.
